Enjoy a cozy family stay in the 4-person unit of our two-storey traditional chalet in Grindelwald. *Une” which is short for “downstairs” in Swiss German is the smaller unit and hosts 4 people.
If you need room for more people check out the other unit “Obe” which can host 7 people. It is possible to rent both units together. Both units share a storage room for skis and laundry facilities. There is also a shared garden with a BBQ-area.
“Une” has 2 bedrooms: one with 2 twin beds, and one with a bunk bed. In the living room, there is a sleeping couch available for a fifth guest, at extra cost. Boardgames, books, internet, TV, and music speaker are available
You will have a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, stove, and fondue set. You can also use the private terrace and the BBQ in the garden. There is one bathroom with a shower. Towels and shower amenities are provided for.
On-site we have one free parking spot available (one for each unit). Additional paid parking, public transportation, shops, and restaurants are all within walking distance in the village center.
You will be surrounded by dramatic mountain views in a natural area on the sunny side of the valley. Grindelwald offers experiences all year round. In summer it is ideal for short or long hikes in the mountains, trailing or mountainbike tours. In winter you get to discover over 200km of slopes in the Grindelwald-Wengen resort. If you are up for longer trips, you can explore the beautiful Bernese Oberland or the great lakes of Interlaken only 30 minutes away.
The First cable car is a 15-minute walk away. The larger Grindelwald Terminal with Eiger Express cable car and the Grindelwald–Männlichen cable car, can be reached using the free bus service included in your stay.
Our chalet is quietly tucked away from the main road. Please note that reaching the property requires a short walk along a footpath (1min., see photos), which may be less suitable for guests with limited mobility. The path is flat but there are a few steps right before you arrive at the chalet.

Directions and parking
The full address is Kreuzweg 67, 3818 Grindelwald. Here is the exact location of our parking on Google Maps. Getting to the chalet from the village center is straightforward on foot or by car. Please note that it's uphill.
- After arriving at the station follow the Dorfstrasse to the village center. After just a few meters, on the corner with hotel Kreuz & Post, take the street on the right: the Kreuzweg.
- Follow this street until a fork in the road behind the hotel. Go to the right here and keep following Kreuzweg.
- Continue uphill for about 400 meters. After you pass hotel Alpenhof and the Im Misiti street on your right, start looking for a sign for Chalet Colette on your left hand side, while continuing uphill.
- The sign will be at the footpath on the left side of the Kreuzweg. Follow this footpath all the way to the end for about 50 meters.
- If you arrive by car you can park on one of the marked spots. Please only use 1 spot. Additional cars can be parked in the (paid) village parking.
Warning: During winter conditions you must bring snow chains if you want to park near the chalet. It is dangerous to drive up without snow chains and we take no responsibility in case of accidents.

You will receive the Grindelwald Guest card which offers free local bus services and various discounts (more info). The card is delivered by email a few days before arrival.
